Lady GaGa by John Wright

Singer-songwriter and musician LADY GAGA latest photograph for sale by Celebrity Photographer John Wright as part of a photo shoot for Q magazine March 2009.

Born in New York in 1986 to Italian American parents Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta earned her stage name from that of Queen after the record producer Robert Fusari compared her vocal style to Freddie Mercury. Influenced by ‘glam rock’ David Bowie, Queen, and ‘1980′s Pop’ Madonna and Michael Jackson singer-songwriter Akon he signed her to a joint deal with his own label Kon Live Distribution. In 2008 GAGA released The Fame and hit singles Just Dance nominated for the best dance recording at the 51st Grammy Awards and Poker Face. When LADY GAGA was a little girl she would sing along on her mini plastic tape recorder to Michael Jackson and Cyndi Lauper hits and get twirled in the air in Daddy’s arms to the sounds of the Rolling Stones and the Beatles.

It’s really no wonder that this little girls from a good Italian New York Family turned in to the exhibitionist, multi-talented singer-songwriter with a flair for theatrics that is today LADY GAGA. “I was always an entertainer. I was a ham as a little girl and I’m a ham today” says LADY GAGA who made a name for herself on the Lower East side club scene.
